The following show exciting moments from the Canberra SubRegatta in which Triple "S" members, along with other submarine enthusiasts from all over Australia, are involved. This wonderful event is held over Easter every even year, being hosted by the ACT Model Boat club and run under the auspices of the local SubCommittee chapter, SubComAust.

The first charge has already gone off in the middle of the frame, giving the underwater smoke and the bubbles above it. The flash of the second charge on the bottom of the pool (to the left) is captured as it goes off. The shockwave from this explosion was reflected off the bottom back up through the water, giving the horizontal line across the picture.

The first charge has gone off, giving the large bubbles on the middle/left. The second charge has just exploded above the u-boat giving the sheets of flame and expanding bubble cloud.
Think the frigate Amethyst's anti-submarine depth charges were impressive? Have a look at the ones Dr. P uses in his Schnellboot at the Triple "S" 2009 Naval Day, as well as all his other firepower commanding his home lake at the Sunshine Coast!
